The University of Minho recognizes and supports knowledge valorization as a pivotal component of its mission.

Promoting the transfer of knowledge and technology to Society through partnerships with companies, licensing industrial property and setting up new knowledge intensive ventures - spin-off companies - are essential means to allow Society to benefit from new products, processes and services.

These have a clear impact in the economic development and employment generation.  This commitment can only be implemented through a broad set of initiatives spearheaded by the University of Minho, which will be presented here.
