Description
The Undergraduate Degree Course in Mathematics is a six semester course (180 ECTS credits). It is a wide range programme, providing basic knowledge in the major areas of mathematics, from theory to applications. Strong emphasis will be put on the use of symbolic, numerical, graphical and statistical computational software, using the University's extensive computing facilities.
This programme aims to provide students with the mathematical skills and techniques needed in a variety of careers in business and commerce as well as in research, industry and education.
Graduates will be able to model and solve scientific and technological problems and will have developed skills of logical thinking and analysis very useful in their professional future. In addition, the graduates in Mathematics will be well prepared to pursue their studies in a wide range of 2nd Cycles in the areas of Sciences, Economics, Management or Engineering.
