Description
The course aims at training engineers capable of applying fundamental principles of computer science to the development of efficient, robust and scalable software solutions. Bearing this goal in mind, the study plan covers all stages of the software development process, from analysis to development, implementation and maintenance. The training also considers the ability of cost assessment and economic impact of the developed solutions. The recent adaptation of the course to the Bologna model has allowed the study plan to be readjusted, in order to gather the essence of the training in this domain in only three years. As a consequence, some teaching methods have also been reviewed, with a strong commitment to the laboratorial and project components.
