Description


The program was founded in 1991 and since then has grown in quality and prestige. In 2004 it was recognized with an Excellent Employment Rate; in 2005 it was ranked as the Best Communication Program in the country and in 2008 its Research Centre was, once more, rated as Excellent.
All this notoriety reveals the good level of teaching and research developed by the Communication Sciences? group of teachers and students.
This degree offers a flexible and experimentalist structure, allowing students to construct their own curriculum in one of the three areas of specialization:
-Information and Journalism
Press, Radio, Television, Online
-Advertising and Public Relations
Advertising / Creative Direction, Media Planning, Public Relations / Corporate Communication, Media Relations, Image Management
-Audiovisual and Multimedia
Direction, Production, Scriptwriting, Game Design, Multimedia Production

This program provides the technical and scientific capacity to access the programs of the second cycle (Master) and the third cycle (PhD). The Department of Communication Sciences offers a number of programs at these levels, which can be found here: http://www.comunicacao.uminho.pt/ensino/
