The Preparation Course for International Students was designed for students from countries outside the European Union who completed secondary education in their country of origin in order to prepare their access to bachelor or integrated masters courses at The University of Minho (UMinho).
This course aims:
1. To provide tools and specific knowledge to international students to enter a bachelor or integrated master’s course at The University of Minho (UMinho).
2. To prepare international students for a successful academic path at UMinho through further-training schemes involving:
a) Experiences and proper information to deepen students culture knowledge;
b) Guidance and monitoring of the students for the purposes of their studies in order to enhance the skills acquired and to be acquired;
c) The promotion of assessment and self-assessment during their learning experience, confronting the students with the requirements of their personal training projects.
3. To render information to international students regarding the organisation and operation of UMinho courses, as well as career prospects, career guidance and vocational reorientation.
