Description


The PhD course aims at offering students an educational environment which allow them to develop the ability to contribute to the advancement of science and technology through creative and autonomous research in multidisciplinary areas, aiming ultimately at finding therapeutic solutions in the framework of Regenerative Medicine.

The course constitutes an innovative venture in terms of curricular contents, taking advantage of unique competences (scientific excellence, ability to attract students, lab infrastructure, relationships with international scientific groups and institutions) available at the University of Minho. The completion of this PhD implies a curricular component with 60 ECTS and a dissertation. The conclusion of the curricular component grants the student a Advanced Studies diploma on TERM&SC.

Entry requirements


1. MSc in Engineering, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Medicine, Veterinary Science, or legal equivalent.
2. 1st cycle degree (5 years) in similar areas, provided that the CV confirms an adequate scientific preparation.
