Description
Individuals in a critical condition are those whose life is threatened by a failure of one or more vital functions and whose survival depends on monitoring, therapeutical and advanced surveillance means. Nursing care to individuals in a critical condition are highly qualified care services on a continuous basis to individuals with one or more vital functions at immediate risk, as response to their affected needs, allowing to keep basic vital functions, preventing complications and limitating incapacities to allow total recovery.
Response to catastrophic or multivictim emergency situations are also considered, from Conception to action, as well as the maximization of the intervention in prevention and control of the infection before individuals in a critical condition or organic failure.
Access to higher education
The Master Course in Nursing in Critical Care allows the access to Doctoral courses in the same scientific field, or in other areas.
