Description
The Study Cycle that leads to a Masters degree of in Pre-school Education, created within the framework of the Bologna process implementation, confers professional qualification for teaching in Preschool under the terms established by the qualification for teaching in preschool, Basic and Secondary Educations legal system (Law Decree No. 43/2007, February 22, 1189/2010 Ordinance, of November 17).
This Study Cycle continues the training received during a Bachelors Degree in Basic Education and is aimed mainly at enabling professionals to perform teaching duties in nurseries and kindergartens. However, it also prepares them to perform educational functions in an ATL (after school group) and other educational and childcare settings that have historically been contexts of activity for early childhood teachers.
During this degree Master in professional teaching (Initial Teacher Training) the students experience internship in a professional context, on which they prepare a report that is then defended in a public setting.
Access to higher education
The Master Course degree provides the basic training necessary to carry out a 3rd cycle course (PhD) in the same scientific area or other areas.
