Description

The main objective of the Master in PNNL - PFL and PL2 is to provide students with the theoretical and practical tools for action in the PLNM - PLE/PL2, helping to update and enhance knowledge relating both to the Portuguese language, literature and culture and to the literatures and cultures of Portuguese-speaking countries, as well as to enhance their applicability in various contexts. It seeks to respond to requests from the current social context, strongly marked by important changes as a result of migratory movements that have contributed greatly to the cultural and linguistic diversity that today characterize the reality of the country. It also seeks to develop agents capable of implementing a policy of dissemination and consolidation of the Portuguese language and culture in the dynamics of the strategic relations of Portugal with partners in the European Union (EU) and other countries of destination of the Portuguese diaspora.
At the end of the course, students that have completed it successfully must, in general terms and independently of the specific learning outcomes defined for each course:
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the portuguese language, as well as of Portuguese and lusophone literatures and cultures;
- Have acquired methodological practices and tools, which will make it possible for them to teach Portuguese as a foreign or second language, as well as conceive and implement teaching materials within this area;
-- Be able to develop practices of research, reflection and critical use of the knowledge acquired in different professional contexts, with particular focus on the educational field and on the field of multicultural and
multilingual intervention.
