Description

This Doctoral Programme aims at offering training based on scientific research in optometry and vision Sciences. The goal is to provide training to prepare professionals able to integrate multidisciplinary teams and to carry out internationally competitive research in the areas of clinical optometry, optometric instrumentation, contact lens practice, characterization of myopia and its evolution, low vision, colour vision, among others. These areas are very important from an applied point of view because their results contribute directly to the improvement of the visual quality of the population. On the other hand, this type of training is adequate for high level staff of companies in the area of vision, both in the products and services activities, because their performance depend of deep understanding of the problems and action mechanisms similar to those involved in scientific research. This is a research based learning project conducted by researchers internationally recognized in the scientific fields of the Programme.
