Description


This doctoral program aims to contribute to the training of doctoral excellency in scientific fields considered strategic such as the aging and chronic diseases , promoting synergies and maximizing the complementary nature of technical and methodological resources existing in the involved institutions.
In 2013 FCT recognized the quality of the PhDOC with the allocation of nine annual grants under the FCT Inter-university doctoral program in Ageing and chronic diseases.

The conclusion of this Doctoral degree allows the realization of research activity at post-doctoral level.

Access to this cycle of studies requires an application to the Health Sciences School of the University of Minho.

STEP 1: contact the program secretariat (nac@ecsaude.uminho.pt) to manifest their interest and to schedule an interview with the program director;

STEP 2: send the requested documents and information to the program secretariat;

STEP 3: the course comission will evaluate the application and appoint an interview with the candidate.Approval by this committee precedes submission for evaluation at the scientific council.

Entry requirements


Holders a master degree, conferred following a 1st or 2nd cycle of studies, organized in accordance with the Bologna principles and holders of "licenciatura" degree with interest in developing research in aging and chronic diseases.

Submission of applications for PhD Interuniversity Program in Aging and Chronic Diseases runs from May 5 to May 26, 2016.
