Description
The Doctoral Programme in Architecture has two alternative plans:
a) Plan A, with 180 ECTS, which includes two academic semesters starting with compulsory attendance of Course Units (CUs), and monitoring of the thesis tutorial in four semesters following;
b) Plan B, with 180 ECTS, with 6 semesters entirely dedicated to the realization of the thesis, with tutorial guidance of a Teacher of "Architecture School". This plan allows that students holders of master degree, or equivalent, to be recognized by the Scientific Council for start directly the thesis.
The Doctoral Degree in Architecture, Plan A or Plan B, is given in the following areas of expertise:
a) City and Territory;
b) Construction and Technology;
c) Architectural Culture.
Access to higher education
The conclusion of this Doctoral degree allows the realization of research activity at post-doctoral level

The Doctoral Programme in Architecture promotes a training methodology and learning environment appropriate to update and improve the acquisition of new skills in the different expertise areas, essential to the construction of a research autonomous pathway by the students.
