Description


The PhD in Electronic and Computer Engineering is organized into areas of specialization aligned with lines/groups of the Research Centers Algoritmi and CMEMS of the School of Engineering of the University of Minho, to be selected from the following:
– Control, Automation and Robotics
– Power Electronics and Energy
– Instrumentation and Electronic Microsystems
– Industrial Informatics and Embedded Systems
– Information Systems and Computer Communications

Entry requirements


Candidates to PDEEC, considering what is defined in point 1 of Article 177 of the Academic Regulation of the University of Minho (RT-03/2020) are:
a) Holders of a master's degree in the fields of Electronics, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Informatics or other legal equivalent that guarantee the competences of the candidates in Physics and Mathematics subject to evaluation by the Course Steering Committee.
b) Holders of a bachelor's degree, holders of a relevant academic or scientific curriculum that is recognized by the Scientific Council of the School of Engineering of the University of Minho (CCEEUM) as attesting the capacity to carry out this study cycle, in the areas and conditions defined in a).
c) Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum that is recognized by the Scientific Council of the School of Engineering of the University of Minho CCEEUM as attesting the capacity to carry out this study cycle, in the areas and conditions defined in a).
