André Carinha Tavares defends the Aggregation

André Carinha Tavares, Senior Researcher
(Lab2PT / EAUM), defends the Aggregation Tests on December 10th and 11th, at
2:30 pm, at Salão Nobre of the Rectory, in Largo do Paço, Braga.
On the 10th, the academic, professional,
scientific and pedagogical curriculum will be analyzed, as well as the report
of the curricular unit "Teorias e Tratadística". On the 11th, André
Tavares will give a lesson with the title “Vitrúvio Sem Texto”.
The jury is composed by Professors Paulo Jorge
de Sousa Cruz (University of Minho), João Pedro Sampaio Xavier (University of
Porto), Rui Humberto Costa de Fernandes Póvoas (University of Porto), Carlos
Francisco Lucas Dias Coelho (University of Lisbon), Fernando Moreira da Silva
(University of Lisboa), Vitor Manuel Bairrada Murtinho (University of Coimbra)
and Walter Rossa Ferreira da Silva (University of Coimbra).
André Tavares (Porto, 1976), architect and
coordinator of Dafne Publisher, is Senior Researcher at the School of
Architecture / Lab2PT of the University of Minho and Architecture Programmer at
the Garagem Sul of the Belém Cultural Centre in Lisbon.
He is coordinator of the FCT projects “Codfish
Architecture” and “A&BM The Sea and the Shore, Architecture and Marine
Biology: The Impact of Sea Life on the Built Environment”. His latest book “The
Anatomy of the Architectural Book” (Lars Müller / Canadian Center for
Architecture, 2016) explores the cross-relationships between the history of
architecture and the book. He is also the author of the books “Arquitectura
antituberculose” (Faup-publications, 2005), “Os Fantasmas de Serralves” (Dafne,
2007), “Novela Bufa do Ufanismo em Concreto” (Dafne, 2009) and “Duas obras de
Januário Godinho em Ovar “(Dafne, 2012).
He was director of Jorl Arquitectos (2013-2015)
and, together with Diogo Seixas Lopes, was general curator of the Lisbon
Architecture Triennale 2016.
The examinations are public and the entry is
free.
The academic community and general public are
invited to attend.
