 "SUSTAINABLE UNIVERSITIES FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE" &

 "THE IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON THE UNIVERSITIES"

University of Minho, Portugal

21st – 22nd September 2020



Given the importance of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the XXVI General Assembly of the Compostela Group of Universities will debate the role of universities as prime institutions to set the agenda and example towards its achievement through their mission, policies and practices. 
The event will be hosted online by the University of Minho. The University of Minho is a young and dynamic comprehensive university, with more than 19.000 students, 13% of which coming from more than 80 countries all around the world. Strongly committed with its environment, UMinho acts as a true engine of the ecosystem of research and innovation that impact regionally, nationally and internationally.

UMinho published its first Sustainability Report in 2010 and, since then, has been proactively working towards promoting, through its education, research knowledge transfer, internal procedures and policies, a more sustainable way of living and governance.


The CGU General Assembly will take place on 21-22 September 2020.

During this year's "Compostela Dialogues in Higher Education" the esteemed speakers and keynote speakers will share their insights on the themes "Sustainable Universities for a Sustainable Future" and "The impact of COVID-19 on the Universities":

The event will be hosted online using the platform ZOOM.
The programme is available above and the hours of the event are expressed in Portuguese time (GMT +01:00). 
The invitation to access the event (link) will be sent by e-mail to all the participants that fill in the Registration Form. 
All the interested participants should register online until the deadline: 11 September 2020.
