Description
Bioengineering is an area of knowledge that has been exhibiting recent extraordinary scientific advances (for example in protein engineering, system and synthetic biology, genomics, bioinformatics and nanotechnology). Therefore it is of utmost importance the graduation of specialists with abilities to transfer the scientific achievements of this area to the productive sector in a sustainable environment towards health improvement. In this sense, the Master Course in Bioengineering aims at providing advanced knowledge to undergraduate students, towards the development of multidisciplinary approaches to solve problems in Biotechnology and Biomedicine. This master course has a great number of practical and laboratorial classes covering different topics of bioengineering and is of the responsibility of the Centre of Biological Engineering (CEB), which has a great international reputation in Bioengineering and has strong connections to the productive sector.
Access to higher education
This Master degree provides basic training to carry out a course of 3rd cycle (PhD) in the same scientific area, or other areas
