The University of Minho’s International Relations Services (SRI) are organising an Orientation Programme on September 11th (Monday), an initiative especially aimed at exchange students.

The students will have the opportunity to visit the university’s facilities and answer any questions regarding their period studying abroad.

The programme includes a welcome session at the Gualtar campus in Braga, at 10 a.m., with the Pro-Rector for the Internationalisation of Education, Carla Martins. After the session, a presentation of the UMinho’s service units will follow, by the Peer Mentoring Programme and the Students’ Union.

During the afternoon, the students will take part in a walkabout to the Bom Jesus do Monte. This activity is part of the Erasmus Programme 30 years’ celebration. The programme for the day will end with a student reception at the top of the Bom Jesus staircase at 5.30 p.m., with the Rector of UMinho, António M. Cunha.

During the first semester of 2017/2018, UMinho will welcome approximately 343 from 36 countries, most of them part of the Erasmus+ Programme.
