Description
The main objectives of this study cycle are:
- To provide a current and high-quality post-graduate education (2nd cycle) in the areas of Micro and Nano Technologies;
- To complement the education of graduates in Science and Engineering courses or related fields, by providing specialized training in different areas of application of micro and nanotechnologies, such as medicine, biology, telecommunications, metalworking industry, sports, electronics, textiles, aeronautics, etc.;
- To provide advanced training in the selection and application of manufacturing, processing, and characterization techniques and new materials for micro and nano systems;
- To provide training in sensor technologies and electronics compatible with the materials and processing methods of micro and nano structures;
- To provide technology transfer in the development of new integrated micro/nano products, taking into account the specifications of the applications;
- To promote training in research methodologies, from a multidisciplinary perspective, with the aim of innovation and development.
Key learning outcomes
Upon completion of the Master's degree in Micro and Nano Technologies, a graduate should have acquired the following skills:
1. To specify, design, and develop micro and nano systems and/or innovative products at the technical, functional, and design level;
2. To develop and integrate micro and nano sensors and actuators and electronics compatible with the materials and processing methods of micro and nano structures;
3. To demonstrate knowledge of the functioning principles and the ability to use micro and nano systems in solving technological problems;
4. To analyze, interpret, and evaluate the performance of products in the market and integrate the results obtained into new product designs;
5. To plan research methods and techniques for the development of new micro and nano systems and high-value-added products;
6. To design and carry out research and development projects in organizational systems.
