Description
The Masters in Applied Psychology (PSI-APLIC) aims to allow for a practical scientists formation focused on problems and issues relevant to professional practice in various domains of Psychology, for the development of deeper knowledge in the applied areas of Psychology, including competencies for the use of methods and techniques of intervention and research in applied contexts.
The curriculum of this Master is organized in two levels. The first level (1º year) is characterized by a transverse and broad formation focused on problems and issues on various domains of the Applied Psychology, and involves the development of competencies of assessment and intervention on clinical, psychoeducational, social, community, and organizational issues and settings.
The second level (2º year) aims at a more differentiated formation, focused on a specific area of the professional practice of Psychology: Clinical and Health Psychology, School and Educational Psychology, Justice and Community Psychology, and Organizations and Sports Psychology. During this year, the students carry out a supervised training and a master?s dissertation.

This Master degree provides basic training to carry out a course of 3rd cycle (PhD) in the same scientific area, or other areas
Careers
The graduates of the Master in Applied Psychology are enabled to carry out a professional internship under the responsibility of the Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses (OPP), after which they will have access to the professional practice in the different areas of Psychology.
