Description
The sequencing process of the human genome constituted a very significant landmark in the history of science during the last century. Having attained this goal, the focus has been placed on the capacity to make the data profitable, extracting new forms of knowledge, in order to better understand the molecular and cellular phenomena, while improving the medical and therapeutic diagnosis processes and the techniques used in Biotechnology.
Bioinformatics, known as the application of Information Technologies to the resolution of problems in life sciences, is a key area in this task, which has been steadily developing throughout the years, both academically and at market level (industrial or services).
The course aims at providing a quality 2nd degree training in the area of Bioinformatics to students with 1st cycle degrees in Information Technologies and Biological Engineering and Sciences.
Access to higher education
This Master degree provides basic training to carry out a course of 3rd cycle (PhD) in the same scientific area, or other areas
