Patents
The success of the research carried out by UMinho is reflected in the technology transfer indicators. The strong commitment to collaborate between researchers and companies, is reflected in the number of patents. Between 2010 and 2015, 157 patents registered, more than 50 implemented. In 2015, 47 new requests of patents registered, and UMinho was the Portuguese university with the highest number of registered patents in the European Patent Office.
