Em consonância com a missão da Universidade e desta Aliança de promover uma educação colaborativa e inclusiva, o Prémio de Excelência em Ensino Arqus homenageará iniciativas e projetos de ensino baseados em abordagens de ensino e aprendizagem que priorizem o desenvolvimento integral dos estudantes de acordo com boas práticas. Serão consideradas para este prémio iniciativas e projetos de ensino implementados a partir do início do ano académico de 2022-2023.

Esta 3ª edição do concurso valoriza aspetos como o ensino centrado no estudante; a avaliação que impulsiona a aprendizagem dos alunos; abordagens de ensino e aprendizagem baseadas na investigação; a integração da perspetiva internacional; a transferibilidade e adaptabilidade; a relevância e o impacto.

A Arqus atribuirá aos vencedores 5000 euros para aplicar no desenvolvimento de projetos e competências de ensino. A entrega dos prémios será na próxima Conferência Anual da Arqus, que decorrerá de 4 a 6 de julho na UMinho, em Braga.

Call for Nominations: Arqus Teaching Excellence Award

The Arqus Alliance is thrilled to announce the launch of the third Arqus Teaching Excellence Award, a testament to our commitment to celebrating and promoting outstanding achievements in university teaching.

This prestigious award seeks to recognize educators who exemplify innovation and excellence in their pedagogical practices, fostering a culture of learning that transcends disciplinary boundaries and empowers students from diverse backgrounds to thrive in inclusive, community based and dynamic learning environments.

In line with our mission to promote collaborative and inclusive education, the Arqus Teaching Excellence Award will honor teaching initiatives and projects that are based on research-informed teaching and learning approaches and prioritize the integral development and empowerment of students. Teaching initiatives and projects implemented from the start of the academic year 2022-2023 will be considered for this award.

As we embark on this journey to celebrate teaching excellence, we invite nominations that embody the following core criteria: Student-Centered Teaching; Assessment that drives students’ learning; Research-informed teaching and learning approaches; Integration of the international perspective; Transferability and adaptability; Relevance and impact.

The Award will be presented during the Arqus Annual Conference that will take place at the University of Minho in Braga from 4th to 6th July 2024. The award winners will be invited to participate in the conference to give a guest lecture or workshop for teachers of the Arqus Alliance.
