Academic Libraries

The University of Minho has several libraries at the service of the academic community. The main university libraries are managed by the Documentation and Library Services Unit, the General Library in the Gualtar campus, the UMinho Library in the Azurém campus, the Law Library, the Prof. Joaquim Pinto Machado Library, the Nuno Portas Library, the Fernão Mendes Pinto Library and the Couros Campus Library. These libraries have an important collection of documents, covering all areas of knowledge, offer more than 700 places for reading and study, and provide various services to users, such as home loans, document requests, reference services and user training.

Through the bibliographic catalogue it is possible to search all documental resources in all UMinho Libraries and in the Digital Library​ area to access various bibliographic resources in a digital format.
