Victor de Sá Award in Contemporary History 2015
Instituted by a donation from Professor Dr. Victor de Sá.
1-This award is aimed at young Portuguese researchers, as well as researchers from Portuguese-speaking countries in Africa, under the age of 35 (by December 31st 2015), who reside either in Portugal or abroad.
2-The applicants must indicate their address, phone number and email, and a copy of their identification document or passport.
3-Academic works in the field of Portuguese Contemporary History (starting from 1820) will be considered. The applicants may send original, typed articles with double-spacing on A4 sheet size, or printed articles, published during 2014 or by the presentation deadline of July 1st 2015. The academic works cannot be smaller than 50 text pages.
4-The Award's prize money is 2.000 Euros.
5-The academic works must be written in Portuguese.
6-The applicants must submit three copies of their work by July 1st 2015 (office hours), by registered post or personally, with proof of delivery at

7-The jury, appointed by the Cultural Council of the University of Minho, is composed of three specialists with recognition in the field and published work in the same historical period. The jury will let their deliberation be known by the end of November 2015. The jury may choose to give honorable mentions, or to not grant the award, if the quality of the applicants' work is not considered good enough.
8-The jury is sovereign in their decisions, with no place for reconsideration.
9-The Award and the honorable mention diplomas, if there are such, will be awarded to the winners in a public session, before the end of 2015.
