The University of Minho recognises internationalisation as a key element in promoting the quality of its teaching projects. International mobility is one of the most successful mechanisms to prepare students to work and live in a globalised world, as well as in the acquisition or consolidation of common skills, such as a command of foreign languages, independence, initiative, flexibility, intercultural understanding and sensitivity, and international awareness.
As such, the Universidade do Minho has created diversified frameworks for international mobility so that its students can benefit from unique opportunities and, at the same time, enhance the internationalisation of the campuses, offering an international and multicultural dimension to non-mobile students, through contact with foreign students and teachers who choose UMinho as a host entity.
