Created in 2000, the School of Medicine (EMed) is an organic unit of the University of Minho with the intention of assuring undergraduate and post-graduate education and research and others services in the scope of Health Sciences. Its main project is the Medicine course with an Integrated Master designed along innovative lines. Concerning the post-graduates, the School of Health Sciences assures Medicine and Health Sciences Masters' and PhD programs, as well as advanced continuous international training programs in the fields of medicine and biomedicine.
