Guidelines
The Guidelines of the Ethics Committee for Research in Environmental Sciences (CEICA), set out in Decision CEUMinho-2/2018 of 18 December, establish the operating rules of the Committee, created within the scope of the Ethics Council of UMinho.
Guide and Form
The applications submitted to the Ethics Committee for Research in Environmental Sciences (CEICA) for an ethical evaluation of R&D projects, shall be organised in accordance with the ethical principles and best practices of the Code of Ethical Conduct of UMinho, and in compliance with the provisions of CEUMinho's Rules of Procedure and CEICA's Guidelines, following any further considerations and general guidelines set out in national, European and international regulations, norms and directives.
Applications must be dealt with in accordance with the Guide for the Submission of Applications to CEICA which is annexed to Decision CEUMinho-1/2018 of 18 December and shall be submitted by the coordinating managers to the Chairperson of CEUMinho. The submission of requests for opinions is open at all times.
With the purpose of facilitating the organisation of applications, a Project Identification and Description Form is available, which shall be completed and submitted to CEICA for the issuance of an ethical opinion.

and functioning of the ethics committees that are part of health institutions
and other institutions where clinical research is carried out.
