The University of Minho (UMinho) values the involvement of key stakeholders, both internal and external, in the strategic planning and quality assurance processes.
Quality Initiatives
The Quality Manual outlines a range of strategies designed to enhance both SIGAQ-UM and UMinho. To support this goal, several events are organized under the SIGAQ-UM framework, particularly the Annual Quality Event (EAQ), which is a one-day event focused on thoroughly discussing ongoing enhancements to the SIGAQ-UM and assessing the annual plan for executing improvement initiatives.
The Sectoral Committee for Education and Training (CS/11)
Through its Service Unit of Quality Management and Accreditation, UMinho is represented on the Sectorial Committee for Education and Training of the Portuguese Quality Institute (IPQ). This involvement aims to foster interactions with representatives from different organizations to exchange methodologies and best practices in Quality in Education and Training, as well as to pinpoint Quality indicators that can enhance the performance of educational and training institutions.
