The
UMinho Open Science Festival is an event organized by and for the University of Minho community, while also welcoming colleagues and partners, both national and international, who have been working with us to promote Open Science.
The Open Science Festival is an
opportunity to share and discover experiences, best practices, and support services for Open Science at UMinho, in Portugal, and around the world.
The event will take place in an informal and engaging environment, featuring a variety of sessions designed to encourage the participation of researchers, faculty members, students, and
research support professionals (librarians, research managers, data stewards, data curators, etc.). In this context, a call for proposals is open for presentations of Open Science experiences and practices at the University of Minho, in a "Show and Tell" format (a 10-minute presentation followed by a group discussion with participants).
On
October 20th, come and discover, reflect, discuss, share, and celebrate Open Science at the Open Science Festival!
Registration and Target Audience
Registration is free of charge, but mandatory through this
registration form.
Target audience: Researchers, professors, students, and research support professionals (librarians, research managers, data stewards, data curators) as well as the wider national scientific community.
Call for Proposals
A call for proposals is open for presentations of Open Science experiences and practices in a "Show and Tell" format (a presentation of up to 10 minutes, followed by a group discussion with participants).
Interested participants may submit their proposals through the
registration form by providing a title and an abstract of 200–300 words, clicking "yes" on the question about the interest to participate in this presentation model.
