Higher education institutions have been expanding the scope of their Quality Management Systems, incorporating dimensions related to well-being, work experience, and the balance between personal, academic and professional life. This evolution follows national and international guidelines that reinforce the centrality of people in continuous improvement processes and value healthier, more inclusive, and sustainable institutional environments. In this context, this year's edition is dedicated to reflecting on the standards NP 4552 – Management System for Work-Life Balance – and NP 4590 – Management System for Organizational Happiness – as frameworks that promote practices of conciliation, well-being, and human development in higher education institutions. The integration of these frameworks helps strengthen institutional quality by creating conditions that foster motivation, engagement, and the capacity for innovation among academic and technical-administrative teams.
