Mission
[article 58 of the Organic Regulation of the Services Units of the University of Minho, published in the Official Gazette, Diário da República, 2nd series, no. 100/2020, of 7 May]
“The Secretariat of the Cultural Council is responsible for providing administrative advice to the Cultural Council, particularly:
a. Preparing information and establishing contacts, with a view to issuing opinions on the University’s cultural policy;
b. Promoting the dissemination and developing all the administrative work involved in the publication of the prizes awarded by the Council, encouraging sponsorship contributions and developing contacts with sources of funding;
c. Collecting and processing data and information on the main cultural events in the academic community and promoting liaison with cultural stakeholders under the guidance of the Chairperson;
d. Preparing and distributing to all members all documentation relating to the matters to be considered at the meetings, as well as following up on all its deliberations, providing support for the preparation of the minutes and then disseminating them;
e. Carrying out the administrative procedures concerning expenditure documents, procurement of services and revenue management;
f. Organising and keeping up to date a file relating to its members, as well as cultural stakeholders and partners.”
